1. Purpose and Spirit of the Experience
This journey combines missionary service with the MSSP community in the Philippines and participation in World Youth Day in Seoul, South Korea, in summer 2027. Rooted in faith, prayer, and community life, it calls participants to live simply, serve generously, and encounter others with humility and respect. All are expected to participate actively in both parts of the programme, showing openness, mutual care, and solidarity.
2. Eligibility
Participants must be between 18 and 35 years old at the time of the experience. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of MSSP Oratory Youth. All applicants must complete the application form. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, while also ensuring the group is balanced and all are committed.
3. Financial Contribution
A non-refundable deposit of €300 is required upon registration. The total contribution for the experience in the Philippines must be paid in full by the communicated deadline. This contribution covers travel, accommodation, and basic shared expenses. Participants are encouraged to approach this cost in a spirit of solidarity and responsibility.
4. Code of Conduct
To ensure a fruitful and communal missionary experience, participants are expected to show respect and cooperation toward leaders, fellow participants, local communities, and mission partners. They are to take part fully in moments of prayer, service, reflection, and community life. Participants are to live simply and share daily tasks, meals, and responsibilities in a spirit of mutual support. They should avoid behaviour that is disruptive, disrespectful, or inconsistent with the missionary and communal spirit of the experience. Participants must follow the guidance of the MSSP Oratory Youth coordinators and local mission hosts at all times.
5. Health and Safety
Participants must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs during the application process. They are responsible for bringing their personal medications and any required medical items. MSSP Oratory Youth will provide guidance regarding safety, health precautions, and travel requirements. However, participants are responsible for their own well-being and are expected to act with prudence and care. MSSP Oratory Youth reserve the right to refuse participation if a person’s health, behaviour, or actions could compromise their own safety or that of the group.
6. Travel and Accommodation
Accommodation will be simple and communal, reflecting the spirit of mission and shared life. Meals will be basic and shared together as part of the community rhythm. Gratitude and openness to local culture are essential. MSSP Oratory Youth will provide travel information, packing guidelines, and preparation material to ensure that participants are ready to live the missionary experience fully and responsibly.
7. Cancellation Policy
Any cancellations must be communicated as early as possible. A reminder that the deposit is non-refundable. Additional refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the timing of cancellation and expenses already incurred.
8. Liability
MSSP Oratory Youth will take all reasonable measures to ensure a safe and well-organized experience. However, they cannot be held liable for unforeseen events or circumstances beyond their control. Participants are encouraged to obtain personal travel and health insurance covering international travel and volunteering activities.
