Bible&Beer is a space where we gather over food and drink to tackle the questions and challenges that matter most in our lives today. The topics emerge from real experiences and suggestions from participants of past sessions, creating a conversation shaped by curiosity, concern and the desire to understand. The name itself invites reflection: how can the Bible be relatable to beer? While they may seem worlds apart, this is exactly the point. We aim to explore how faith can illuminate the societal and ethical issues we face every day.

This session turns the spotlight on Peace and Power. What does it mean to act courageously in pursuit of peace? Can justice exist without confrontation? How do we navigate the tension between inner calm and the need to disrupt systems that perpetuate inequality? These questions will guide our discussion, challenging assumptions and inviting new ways of thinking about the role of faith, action and moral courage in society.

Our panel brings together voices that connect thought, experience and action. André Callus, activist and leader of Moviment Graffitti, will show how peace is inseparable from justice and the dismantling of entrenched power. Prof. Jean-Paul De Lucca, philosopher, brings a historical and ethical perspective on how clarity, leadership and the wise use of power shape lasting peace. Fr Ivan Attard OP, with experience both locally and abroad, will reflect on the everyday ways power affects lives and how dignity and fairness are essential for meaningful peace.

Organized by MSSP Oratory Youth, this event is open to the general public and invites everyone to share, reflect and engage in a conversation where Church, faith and societal issues meet. Bible&Beer is informal, thought-provoking and focused on exploring the questions that matter, because meaningful change starts with honest dialogue.

To help cover costs, we ask for a €15 donation, which includes food and drink. Open to everyone 18 and over; alcohol will be served.
