Our MSSP Oratory Youth, annually during September, gather for ECHO, a non-residential weekend faith camp where friendships, laughter, deep conversations are shared, through prayer and other shared moments that stay with us. It is a space to pause, reconnect with what matters, and reflect on how to echo God’s presence in our everyday lives. As our theme song says, to “make God’s glory resound, echo his praises far and wide…”
Last year, we explored the theme of hope and its gift – a light that doesn’t fade, even in the darkest moments. This year, we feel called to take another step together and focus on living in unity. In a world that often pulls us apart, we want to rediscover what it means to walk together, to belong to each other, and to be a community that reflects God’s love, one that builds bridges not walls.
Through shared meals, prayer, talks, and open hearts, we will take the time to listen, grow and celebrate the unity we are called to live, not just for a weekend, but throughout the year ahead that awaits us.
ECHO 2025 will take place from the evening of Friday, September 12th, to Sunday, September 14th, ending with lunch. This faith camp is open to anyone aged 18 to 35.
Full programme and registration details may be found below. We’d love to have you with us.
ECHO marks a new beginning. As we return from summer and ease back into our routines, this weekend offers space to reorient ourselves together. Whether you are new to MOY and searching for your rhythm or already part of our community and wanting to go deeper in your faith journey, this faith camp is for you. It’s an opportunity for you to listen, grow and start the year rooted in something that matters.
We are commencing a four-year journey focused on the pillars of Christian living and we are starting with the one we most urgently need today: community. In a time marked by loneliness and scattered lives, we want to re-learn what it means to truly belong. The sudden loss of our dear brother Dario earlier this year, brought this theme painfully close to home. Now, more than ever, we want to continue experiencing togetherness, sustain unity and not just speak of it.
ECHO is more than a series of events. It is an invitation to fully be present. From prayer and group sharing to socializing, outreach, and Eucharist, each moment is part of the journey. We encourage you to stay for the whole weekend, not to come and go, so we can truly walk this together. The rhythm is simple, but rich: meals, reflection, laughter, silence, and friendship, held across three days that could shape the year ahead.
