ECHO
His HOPE
Youth Faith Camp
Every September, the MSSP Oratory Youths hold a faith camp, ECHO, that aims to bring together young people for a weekend of sharing, learning, and fun. The camp helps participants understand how to live out God’s call in our daily lives and spread His message. The ECHO theme song clearly highlights this mission: “So I’ll make God’s glory resound, echo his praises far and wide. Their voice goes out into the earth, to echo his words to the ends of the world.” This song, and more so the weekend encourages everyone to be a reflection and a living testimony of God’s glory and share His love everywhere.
This year, we would like to focus on a crucial value which can easily be lost in the midst of our busy lives: HIS HOPE! Together with the whole Church as it approaches another Jubilee year, we want to remind ourselves that there is always something to hope for. As a youth community, we aim to discover that hope never disappoints. Inspired by Pope Francis’ words of encouragement, “As young people, you are indeed the joyful hope of the Church and of a humanity always on the move. I would like to take you by the hand and walk with you on the path of hope. I would like to speak with you about our joys and hopes, but also of our sorrows and concerns, and those of all our brothers and sisters in the human family.” (Message of Pope Francis for 2023 World Youth Day). At this faith camp, we’ll engage in sessions, workshops, prayer, and fellowship with other young people, all aimed at living more meaningful and hopeful lives.
The camp runs from the evening of Friday, September 6th, to Sunday, September 8th, ending with lunch. We ask for a €50 donation to cover all expenses for the weekend. ECHO is designed for individuals aged 18 to 35.
