My Catholic faith is central to my life and I know that in order to grow, besides daily personal prayer, I need to share my faith with others. At MSSP I have found the right environment to continue growing in my faith. There are various reasons how MSSP have and continue helping me in my growth and I would like to share some of them.
Through the years I have met some amazing people. People who share my love of Jesus and our Catholic faith. People whom I could only come to meet through a place like MSSP.
The first reason is the Eucharistic celebration, during the daily masses, on Sundays and all the festivities. Fr.Martin and his team have a real passion for the Eucharist and this is very tangible every time I take part in it. The second reason that keeps me going to MSSP is the importance given to the scripture and other writing by the fathers of the church. During lent I attend the ‘Psalm Prayer Sessions’ held every Friday during Lent. These sessions start at 0600am for 1hr and even though waking us so early is hard, I can say that it is totally worth and this really helps me prepare for Easter.
The third reason that makes MSSP special, is the community feeling. People from different walks of life meet there and create a living community. Through the years I have met some amazing people. People who share my love of Jesus and our Catholic faith. People whom I could only come to meet through a place like MSSP. The fourth session is the teaching and the sharing of the word which is offered during the various course. A course I truly enjoyed was about the history of the Catholic Church which thought me some interesting facts about the church and answers some of my questions. Another reason that makes MSSP special is the attention given to children. Our kids get to experience faith in a way suitable for their age. The fact that during the homily kids get an explanation of the scripture in a way they can understand, helps them grow and feel that they have an active part within the church. I am blessed by MSSP, and I know that this is the experience of many people. MSSP is a place where lives are transformed, it has happened to me and I have seen also happen to many people around me.
