I cannot remember how I actually got involved in various activities at the Oratory. But one thing leads to another – a journey without knowing. I have been involved mainly in the Alpha Course. Even though I am now 72 years old, it is unbelievable how one is accepted whatever the age. Most of the participants are much younger than I am, but I feel very comfortable with any of them. This atmosphere of acceptance is so real at the Oratory. It makes me grow in my faith and gives me a sense of belonging. I also attend the Lectio Divina group, which helps me reflect on passages from scripture. What I like both in the Alpha and Lectio Divina groups that everything said stays in the group. Nobody is pressured to share publicly. The purpose is to meet the Lord and hear him.
